In the 2012 Festival of Archaeology the first trench discovered the interior wall and a cellar zone. Children also found pottery, some decorated with gold leaf. Since 2012, further geophysical survey has identified new targets for excavation. 10.00-16.00.

An opportunity to unearth the former residence of the Cheetham family. Built  circa 1830.

TAS will provide a small exhibition opposite the stable block.

There will be 4 days per digger. All eqiuipment will be provided by Salford university.

A public day with site tours on the 22/3/14 will give an opportunity to meet the archaeologists both professional and amateur.
