TAS was established in 1997 to record and preserve the historical standing remains for the public interest in the borough of Tameside (a borough of Greater Manchester.)
Our aims and objectives are;
- To work closely with local history societies, local authority, other interested organisation and Tameside residents.
- To survey, record and preserve standing remains for the historical interest of the borough.
- Not to damage, in any way, property belonging to individuals, local authority or any other landowner.
It is absolutely essential that we preserve and protect property.We do nothing without prior permission.
We undertake educational projects such as open days or visits by uniformed organisations.
