Castleshaw area gets a big Boost

The new friends of Castleshaw group have been formed to drive through further evaluations in the area. Norman Redhead is providing the archaeological support. Keep your eyes out on the new web site for digs in the future. They are looking for more members to help with the projects, so do volunteer.  On the website they have already started collecting documentation on previous archaeology of the area which makes a good read.

TAS have indicated their support for the new group and in future archaeology. There are strong archaeological links with Tameside such as the prehistory upland areas and the Romano British Activity.
